Job Summary:

This position coordinates the staff and logistics of events and productions within the Mississauga Culture Division. Including Paramount Fine Food Centre, Meadowvale Theatre, and Celebration Square and the Living Arts Centre. Working with a larger team the Technical Coordinators work with clients through all aspects of the production. They ensure that technical systems are fully operational and help train production staff on all production equipment.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Work with clients on their production requirements to ensure a safe and smooth event.
  • Develop and implement safety procedures for highrisk elements of each production.
  • Provide expert advice and assist clients with production designs and concepts.
  • Work with clients on production schedules to ensure they comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Create production and system drawings and designs
  • Develop and report on production and maintenance budgets.
  • Create production reports, show reports and reconciliations.
  • Maintain the Live Event and Media Productions' inventory and ensure production elements are in a state of good repair.
  • Oversee production operations and staffing during festivals and events.
  • Develop Technical staff; provide training on equipment and processes at each facility.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in a Live Event or Media Production related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading Productions and production staff.
  • Expert level knowledge of at least one aspect of theatre or concert production.
  • Strong background in concert and Theatrical Rigging, Audio and Lighting Production for Concerts and Events.
  • Requires lifting of supplies/materials lbs
  • Working at heights, boom lift, Scissor lift license.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CAD, and other industry standard software.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR C certificate required

Hourly Rate/Salary:
$31.61- $42.15

Hours of Work: 40
