Who We Are


Serving students, staff, faculty and our wider community across all three campuses, the VPFA (Vice President Finance and Administration) leads and develops foundational support services to help achieve SFU's academic, research and community engagement missions.

We deliver SFU's day-to-day operational and administrative needs through the work of Ancillary Services; Facilities Services; Finance; IT Services; and Safety & Risk Services.

Safety and Risk Services supports excellence in learning, teaching and research across the SFU community through collaboratively facilitating and advancing world-leading standards and practices in safety, security and the management of risk.

Come join our team of dedicated professionals and help support a learning community of over 40,000 students, faculty and staff across three campuses The Risk Management team provides resources, advice and recommendations pertinent to risk management and insurance.

Our aim is to increase the awareness of risks and to prevent losses without unnecessarily limiting strategically-aligned University activities.
