This position will work on behalf of the Engineering and Projects Department.

The incumbent is someone with experience in maintenance.

Must possess the skills and knowledge to be able to create short and long term job packages from Plant Maintenance (PM) work orders designated to be completed during a turnaround.

A turnaround is a scheduled plant maintenance outage.

The job package contains information about labor, materials and contract services needed to ensure safe, efficient, and successful execution of the work.

The incumbent will work closely with the Project Manager to detail the required work within the turnaround.

This schedule will then be combined with information from the Maintenance Turnaround Planning team to produce one integrated master plan for the turnaround.

Will create and maintain the master schedule of all projects within the Engineering and Projects Department. This department runs approximately 60-70 projects each year. This schedule will need to be maintained and updated on a weekly basis.


TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Creates and assembles a quality job package that ensures safe and efficient execution of the job scope.
  • Develops job plans for maintenance work such as repairs, replacements, internal and external inspections. The job plans involve but are not limited to crafts such as pipefitters, welders, riggers, inspectors, millwrights, insulators, scaffolders, painters, and hydroblasting.
  • During turnaround execution, the incumbent will be on call to create job packages for any addon or discovery repair work.
  • Job Package Accuracy (zero errors and omissions, no field changes)
  • Ensure job package content conforms to Job Plan Package Contents and includes flange tags, flange tag listing, Bill of Materials, torque and pipe specs.
  • Review PM orders for technical completeness and scope clarity. Send PM orders back to gatekeeper if incomplete or insufficient to complete a job plan.
  • Complete walk downs in field to verify conditions and confirm equipment matches job scope.
  • Verify all component parts meet pipe and material specs, field dimensions, equipment orientation and constructability. Outdated or P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams) inconsistent with equipment specs as verified in the field must be returned to operations for correction and clarification.
  • Job steps, manhours and planned costs (including Purchase Order costs) in SAP must be accurate. Review and confirm job step durations, job step sequencing, support equipment requirements and crew sizes from contractors assigned to complete the work.
  • Collaborate with Turnaround Coordinator and Maintenance Engineering Services to reduce or modify inspection scope of work and resultant support. Ensure no changes occur during execution.
  • Minimize contingencies and cushion planned man hours and costs.
  • Include documents such as P&IDs, equipment drawings, torque and piping specifications to the job package.
  • Verify P&IDs and engineering drawings match the equipment in the field.
  • Develop Capital commissioning packages.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION:


  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is highly preferred.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:


  • Five (5) years of planning experience with maintenance, turnarounds, or capital projects in an active operating plant.
  • Advanced Primavera (P6) capabilities.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Experience planning and executing projects and/or turnarounds.
  • Ability to work cross functionally.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
