Tarkett Sports is looking for a Payroll Assistant to join its team.

In this role, the incumbent will assist in the compilation of payroll data to maintain payroll records.

He/she will support the weekly preparation of payroll using different software/systems including analysis of the various components of wages, such as over time, vacation pay, union dues etc.

Participate in union and certified payroll reporting.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

Support Weekly payroll process
Collect weekly time sheets, calculate hours to be paid, enter into ADP system, worked hours as well as per diems, drive time or other as necessary in line with local prevailing wages and submit for processing.
Certified Payroll
Download report from ADP system weekly, review/validate information to submit to the internal labour compliance officer in a timely manner.
Monthly Union Trust Fund payments
Participate in the calculation and reporting of the monthly union dues and submit by the first week of every month. Assist in any Union audits.
Update job hours report for Operations
On a weekly basis, update job hours reports which consists of all job hours worked and job site of the payroll dates
Maintain employee files and records.
For all employees of the installation crews (including vacation and sick tracking)

Your skills we value:

Excellent attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skill, wellorganized, analytical and methodical capabilities and autonomous;
Able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines;
Proficient in MS Office Suite with intermediate level of excel (Vlookups, pivot tables);
Experience with ADP payroll system, Certified payroll and/or Syspro an asset.

Experience & Education Desired:

1+ years data entry and manipulation in a corporate environment Associate degree
