    Hybrid Remote Flexibility Client Profile Our client, a Toronto law firm, is currently looking for a Litigation Assistant. Canadian law firm specializing exclusively with tax matters.
    Recognized as one of the Top Tax Law Boutiques for by Canadian Lawyer.
    Office conveniently located in Toronto's Financial District Provide legal support within a varied practice;
    • Prepare correspondence and legal documents court materials, and assemble documents both electronically and hard copy, including review and editing skills to ensure accuracy and efficiency;
    • Prepare and deliver monthly client invoices and following up on outstanding accounts;
    • Open/ close / maintain legal files;
    • Schedule appointments and web meetings, conference calls and manage calendars for lawyers; and
    • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of a Legal Assistant Program; years of litigation experience within a law firm, with experience in corporate tax l aw an asset;
    • Solid understanding of litigation including Rules of Civil Procedures, knowledge of the Federal COirt Rules and Tax Court of Canada rules an asset;
    • Strong proficiency with MS Office, DocuSign, ACL, Adobe Acrobat, document managements systems, experience with Aderant Accounting program an asset;
