    Description

    The Architectural Technologist (AT) works under the supervision of the Control Room Design Manager (CRDM). The AT is responsible for producing design layouts and developing drawings for all phases of a construction project (concept to completion). Contribute toward the accuracy, quality, completeness, and schedule of finished drawing packages through coordination with team members, Evans internal departments, consultants, and clients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Knowledge and understanding of North American building design and construction

    Understanding of the specific design requirements for critical operations centers

    Work from sketches, notes and other input material to develop conceptual layouts

    Translate preliminary layouts into schematic design, design intent, and construction documents packages for approval or construction under the direct supervision of the CRDM.

    Coordinate with outside architects, engineers, and other consultants/vendors as required

    Attend meetings with clients and/or consultants as required

    Design for and review drawings for accuracy and local building code /ADA compliance before submission

    Travel/Assist with detailed site surveys for accurate drawings of existing spaces as required

    Design custom cabinetry and provide schematic drawings to cabinetry contractors for the basis of their shop drawings and review these for accuracy

    Coordinate with Evans Regional Sales Managers, Project Managers and modelling groups as required for console and millwork design and layout

    Create Color Board finish options customized to each project for approval by client

    Schedule and coordinate 3D renderings based on designs

    Update and maintain internal Revit template/standard details as needed

    Research and compile construction materials and products

    Ability occasionally travel to client sites

    Consistently able to meet deadlines and schedules

    Handle working at a fast pace and under pressure when required

    Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat

    Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and integration with Revit

    Strong organizational and problem solving skills

    Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
