Description

Matrix is hiring a remote, full-time, permanent Financial Controller for our incredible client. The annual salary is $130k/per year.

Our client has been in business for over 100 years and is a leading provider of industrial Civil Construction, Demolition, Mechanical, Fabrication, Site Services, and Project Management.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all company accounts and investments
Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
Support the local Operations Director and Sales Director to ensure they make informed decisions based on high quality, relevant and uptodate information
Supervise and manage the local financial department staff
Take the lead on local finance projects such as systems transition and migration, restructuring, streamlining and outsourcing projects
Motivate and lead the local finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback
Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
Manage all loans, other borrowings and local banking relationships
Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
Report to the finance team with timely and accurate financial information
Assist the finance team in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.

Qualifications:

Fully qualified accountant with a bachelor's degree from a prestigious university
Several years of experience in a business or finance environment
Oil & Gas experience
