Cafeteria Supervisor Responsibilities
- Plans, organizes, directs, controls and evaluates the operations of the cafeteria.
- Supervises and evaluates food counter attendants and develops work schedules.
- Supervises and coordinates activities of workers who prepare, cook, serve food, clean premises, collect money, operate POS systems and wash dishware.
- Participates in preparing and cooking meals.
- Trains staff as it relates to food preparation procedures, safety regulations and POS systems.
- Reprimands, disciplines, and provides written documentation for all disciplinary actions.
- Ensures accuracy of deliveries of food and supplies by checking vendor invoices and prices as products are delivered.
- Properly organizes storerooms and storage areas.
- Orders and obtains weekly food and supplies.
- Ensures proper accountability of inventory (food and kitchen supplies).
- Responsible for the profitability of the cafeteria by managing food costs and labour.
- Understands and follows all guidelines on safety, food production, food specification, and ordering.
- Manages the preparation of highquality meals in accordance with BC food safety standards.
- Creates and implements recipes to be in compliance with company policy and food costs.
- Completes all assigned records and documentation, worksheets, and other paperwork.
- Required to have prompt, regular attendance inperson and be available to work onsite, inperson during regular business hours and as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by an appropriate administrator or their representative.
- Determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering
- Prepares a variety of documentation such as food cost and daily sales.
- Consult and communicate with other managers as an issue arises
Job Types:

Salary:
$50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Supervising: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- FoodSafe Level 2 or equilavant certification (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)
