Agricorp is looking for a Test Automation Specialist to join the Income Stabilization Services team within our Information Technology division
:


The Role:


The Test Automation Specialist will provide technical expertise for test-related solutions to improve the timeliness and quality of technical deliverables in support of projects and operational activities.

The Test Automation Specialist is responsible for developing, configuring and optimizing third-party test tools & in-house frameworks to support efficient and appropriate automated testing, and enhancing or building in-house test tools.

You will also mentor members of the Test Services team on technical matters.


In this role, you will:

  • Use effective automation tools based on objectoriented analysis and objectmodeling/datamodeling, including Selenium, C#, Cucumber and Java
  • Create Automated test solutions for software developed in Microsoft Visual Studio,.NET, ASP, ASP.NET, XML, Microsoft Dynamics, Guidewire, source code management tools, and Oracle 11g or later
  • Develop and deliver technical testing strategies, tactics, and tools and techniques to both expedite the delivery of and add accuracy to the testing process
  • Train and mentor test team members in debugging, SQL and rootcause & impact analysis
  • Collaborate with technical peers in the definition, testing and necessary remediation of system nonfunctional requirements
  • Create detailed logical and physical system test cases and scenarios within an automation framework
  • Identify and resolve performance, stress and endtoend testing related complex business and technical problems and issues
  • Design and develop technical solutions to improve performance and endtoend testing quality and effectiveness using Selenium, Python and Cucumber
  • Work independently with mínimal guidance
  • Research, evaluate and recommend new products and processes to improve the timely delivery of quality technical solutions
  • Create, document, execute, and evaluate on detailed logical and physical test cases, test scripts and expected results to prove system conformance to business requirements and technical specifications
  • Assist with and ensure database data integrity across test environments
  • Design and build tools and utilities to diagnose data errors and data anomalies
  • Assist with testing, monitoring and maintenance of other IT environments, such as integrationtest, training, and production environments

Permanent Position

Salary range:

$76,000 - $89,000 (Band 8)

Work Status:

full time in office, remote or hybrid work arrangements offered


Qualifications:


  • University undergraduate degree, preferably in computer science or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an Information Technology capacity
  • 4+ years' experience in testing environments, test methodologies, test tools, technical writing, and software development lifecycle
  • Must have technical expertise in SQL, C# or Java, XML and HTML
  • Ability to critically read and evaluate functional and technical documentation
  • Strong experience with software testing techniques and methods to achieve optimal quality results
  • Experience in system framework design, programming, debugging and root cause analysis
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, GP, Selenium 2.0, Grinder and Guidewire an asset
  • Experience with Web Services, Visual Studio and design patterns an asset
  • Experience in software architecture and engineering and indepth whitebox understanding of Server technology an asset
  • Knowledge of the agricultural industry an asset
  • Knowledge of programs delivered by Agricorp, such as AgriStability, Production Insurance and Risk Management Programs and eCustomer an asset
