Summary of Duties:

Xet'olacw Community School is seeking an On-Call Prep Cook.

The prep cook will maintain a positive, supportive and professional relationship with the education community in and out of the classroom while assisting the Head cook.

The prep cook is under the supervision of the Head Cook.


Key Deliverables and Expectations:


  • Assist with prepping Breakfast and Lunch
  • Assist with clean up: wiping down surfaces, washing/drying and putting away dishes and leftover food etc.
  • Perform other related duties as requested.

Experience and Attributes:

  • Must have Grade 12, ECE or other related certificates, diploma an asset
  • First Aid an asset.
  • Food Safe an asset or willingness to obtain.
  • Must be able to lift 2050 pounds
  • Able to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Flexible in a creative manner
  • Must have empathy, understanding and dedication to service
  • Knowledge of Lil'wat Language and Culture an asset
  • Must be reliable
  • Must complete a criminal record check, including the vulnerable section
