Your Role:

This position is located in Coquitlam, BC.


In this position, you will be working with mínimal supervision, inspects, services, repairs, upgrades, delivery and removal of equipment or installs medical equipment on which training has been provided.

You will be required to perform in clinics, hospitals, donor centers, or other equipment locations.

You will be involved in extensive travel to ensure quality and regulatory requirements are met, as well as quality standards set by Baxter.

You may obtain the assistance of more qualified personnel to solve extremely difficult or complex problems.


What you'll do:


  • Maintain equipment within a field territory as assigned, or provide installation and maintenance support within and outside the region.
  • Maintaining effective relationships and exceeding customer expectations on service delivery within your area of responsibility will help you manage customer satisfaction.
  • As appropriate, sell service business within area of responsibility, and maintain financial effectiveness within assigned territory or project.
  • Complete paperwork, documentation, and administrative tasks per policy and procedure.
  • Work effectively with the Service Operations Manager, Field Service Representatives, and other functional areas within the company to enhance business performance and customer experiences.
  • Perform any other duties or projects that are assigned.

What you'll have:


  • A minimum of 2 years of technical college in the biomedical field or a similar technical degree; or demonstrated equivalent work experience as a Field Service Engineer.
  • Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and to represent the organization professionally.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills along with a high level of organizational and territory management skills
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills to resolve equipment related issues
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time to installation/upgrade sites and willingness to work oncall and other shifts and overtime as needed
  • Must have a class 5 driver license and the ability to drive a 5 ton truck.
