    Competition - CC Supervisor, Supportive Housing Programs

    Employment Type: Full Time, (Non)-Bargaining Unit

    Work Hours: 35 hours/week, Mon - Fri from 8am to 4pm

    Work Setting: Onsite

    Hourly Rate Range: $65,000 - $70,000

    Program Overview: Supportive Housing, Community Care, Homes For Good at 800 Vaughan Road

    The Supportive Housing Program offers housing for seniors with a history of living on the streets and dealing with mental health and/or addiction challenges. The program delivers onsite psychosocial and primary care services including intensive case management, harm reduction, therapeutic counseling, 24-hour staffing, assistance with daily activities, and more.

    What You Will Do:

    • Support the Manager in implementing operational responsibilities of programs and services associated with the Supportive Housing Program.
    • Provide daily oversight of program staff and assist with staff orientation.
    • Work directly with program participants to ensure they meet program expectations.
    • Provide support to staff on program issues, team building, and crisis incidents.
    • Support the utilization, training, and support of volunteers and students in program activities.
    • Assist in planning and implementing staff development.
    • Support the promotion and awareness of programs and services within the community.
    • Build and maintain internal and external partnerships.

    What You Bring to the Team:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • 3+ years of experience in implementing programs and working with homeless/vulnerably housed older adults and seniors.
    • 3+ years of experience supervising staff, preferably in a unionized environment.

    What Will Set You Apart:

    • Knowledge of RTA and occupancy agreements, and property management.
    • Understanding of homelessness, poverty, mental health, substance use, and harm reduction philosophy.
    • Ability to develop effective services for individuals and communities facing these challenges.
    • Exercise excellent judgment, flexibility, creativity, and sensitivity to changing situations/needs.
    • Ability to implement program initiatives, build partnerships, and understand program development.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to challenge organizations, staff, and tenant communities in a positive and creative manner.
    • Knowledge of budgets, funding, group facilitation, and policy development.
    • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and crisis intervention skills.
    • Excellent multitasking, time management, writing, editing, and computer proficiency.
