The Inventory Analyst is responsible for completing and monitoring day to day inventory functions and purchasing duties such as, sku and purchase order creation, replenishment, verification of PO acknowledgments, execution of cost and retail price management, maintaining ETA's, vendor communication and working closely with the Buyers and Planners to analyze product performance to ensure accurate order quantities to optimize sales.
What you do (among other things):
- Maintain criteria for items on replenishment and special-order
- Regular review of replenishment items and creation of recommended Purchase Orders
- Ensure inventory levels are accurate to maximize sales, turns and minimize markdowns
- Creation of new sku's and item details and descriptions
- Execution of cost and retail price management
- Verifying and updating of purchase order acknowledgements and invoices
- Communicate and follow up with vendors to maintain accurate ETA dates
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments on shipment and invoice discrepancies
- Communicate with Freight Forwarders and Customs Broker to move and clear product
- Support Sales Associates Buyers with product inquires
- Additional tasks as assigned by Management
Qualifications Attributes:
- 2 years of related planning/replenishment and/or purchasing experience preferred
- Excellent analytical skills
- Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills a must
- Strong mathematical aptitude and analyzing skills
- Strong organizational and prioritizing abilities
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and assignments
- Driven and enthusiastic with a positive attitude and professional approach
- A good team player and able to effectively work within a team and other departments
- Computer proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
