We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Relief Full Time position for a Representative to provide support to the People Services team located in New Westminster, B.C.

Detailed Overview:

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:

Reporting to the Executive Director, People Services, and holding program support responsibilities for Management & Management Support compensation and related requirements, the Representative, People Services provides technical and administrative support services to the People Services team for compensation and performance management; provides administrative support for the Insight and Performancelink/Rewards Management System, coordinates documentation for excluded staff term specific, secondment and appointment processes, provides administrative support for severance process; provides advice and guidance to managers regarding excluded salary and terms and conditions of employment; compiles data and develops reports from Meditech and departmental database systems in response to internal and external requests; coordinates annual excluded salary increase process and prepares costing summaries.

Completes all documentation and meets reporting timeframes for public sector compensation disclosure requirements.


Responsibilities:


  • Provides administrative support to the People Services team including the Executive Director.
  • Provides administrative and technical support for the Insight and Performancelink/Rewards Management Systems and is responsible for updating these systems, as well as, the Management Services intranet pages; coordinates training, orientation and debriefing sessions by arranging meeting rooms, contacting participants and providing them with relevant information and resource material, responds to technical and process queries regarding both programs and provides guidance on performance plans for the administrative excluded staff group.
  • Provides advice to managers regarding additional responsibility pay, secondment and excluded appointment processes; prepares letters, coordinates documentation, maintains electronic systems and initiates changes regarding same.
  • Responds to queries from excluded staff regarding terms and conditions of employment; conducts surveys and research.
  • Coordinates salary changes for employees in the Management Services Group. Compiles reports for download to the Rewards Management System and salary progression worksheets. Works closely with Employee Benefits (EB) and Payroll to ensure there is a smooth process flow.
  • Provides assistance with the severance process by liaising with outplacement firms for the provision of services, preparing severance letters, initiating process and following up with EB and Payroll to ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Compiles data and develops reports from Meditech and departmental data base systems in response to internal and external requests; conducts relevant surveys and research for the People Services team in areas such as Management Services compensation and Performancelink.
  • Conducts excluded compensation and benefits surveys as directed or in collaboration with other People Services departments, compiles and analyzes survey information and responds to external organizations conducting salary surveys by providing relevant data.
  • Participates on various internal and /or external working groups or committees to maintain knowledge of current and upcoming trends and changes in the compensation/performance management area.
  • Liaises with other Health Authorities and external agencies/organizations as required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience


Completion of a Human Resources Diploma plus two (2) years recent, related compensation/performance management experience in a multi union health care environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
