Strength and Conditioning Coach

The Canadian Sport Institute Atlantic (CSI Atlantic) is looking for a full time Strength and Conditioning coach to provide services for University of New Brunswick athletic programs, New Brunswick provincial
teams and national team athletes. This position is based In Fredericton at the High Performance Centre on UNB campus. The successful candidate will be motivated to provide top level service to all clients, work in a performance environment, and strive for continual growth and development. They will excel in the areas of S&C coaching and programming, facility operations & management as well as leadership abilities.

We provide performance and life services to athletes along with employment and educational

Description of Employment

Job Title:Strength and Conditioning Coach (PS1) Employment Status:Full-time (1.0 FTE) Working Locations:University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, NB Entry Level Requirements:

Essential Skills:

Assets:

· Bachelor's degree (BSc, BKin) in Human Kinetics, kinesiology sport science or related field with a focus in sport· NSCA – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) (or ability to successfully challenge the exam within 6 months of hiring) or CSEP Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) with high performance specialization (HPS)

· CPR level C

· Experience writing programs and conducting team and individual strength and conditioning sessions

· Ability to develop and implement innovative programs and organizational processes

· Experience utilizing technology to provide
solutions (Google workspace, Microsoft Office, Power BI, databases/Athlete management systems)

· Reliable with good time management skills

· Strong communication (verbal and written)

· Ability to motivate others and build strong
professional relationships

· Data collection, analysis and reporting

· Strategic thinking and problem-solving
capabilities

· Ability to take initiative and show leadership

· Master's degree (MSc, MKin) in exercise science, kinesiology with a focus in sport

· Experience with relevant technologies such as TeamBuildr, Kinduc, PUSH, force plates

Job Responsibilities: · Developing and implementing strength and conditioning programs, leading testing sessions which will involve early morning, evenings as well as some weekend shifts· Managing and presenting performance and monitoring data

· Working closely with coaches to determine program priorities

· Staying up to date with best evidence informed practices

· Contributing to a community of practice among local, provincial and national network of S&C coaches

· Contribute to maintaining a professional, clean and organized gym facility and consulting on equipment purchases and facility upgrades

· Working collaboratively as a part of an
integrated support team

· Contributing to the development and maintenance of a Culture of Excellence

· Leading the development, improvement, and evaluation of CSI-Atlantic programs and operations in New Brunswick
