Omnitrans is currently searching for
Business Development Consultant to join our Sales & Business development team in Montreal.


In this role, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and growing the customer base for Omnitrans in order to meet annual objectives.


Your day-to-day:


  • You will work closely with current customers and prospective customers as a trusted advisor to deeply understand their unique company challenges and goals.
  • Through direct sales representation, grow a loyal B2B customer base within a designated geographical area while strengthening the company's position & market share within the territory.
  • Analyze the customer base (currents & prospects) and target highest potential opportunities.
  • Identify product gaps in the customer's current purchasing habits and create business plans to capitalize on opportunities and ultimately achieve sales goals.
  • Using Time and Territory Management (TTM), zone territory by customer potential and previous sales history, create/own daily schedule, and utilize sales productivity tools such as Salesforce.
  • Ensure successful integration of new business within the company network.
  • Review monthly results / business plans and discuss sales strategies with Executive Sales Team.
  • Quarterly, indepth performance & personal development review based on annual objectives.
  • Collaborate with a variety of departments to be a successful Account Executive (logistics, credit, marketing, technical services and customer service)
  • Participate in the industry organizations to stay current, promote the Omnitrans brand, build relationships & network of contacts.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings, training seminars & conferences as per scheduled.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Perform general administrative duties.

What you bring:


  • 35 years of experience in Sales, previous experience in customs, Freight forwarding and/or transportation industry is an asset.
  • Clear career progression with no more than 2 companies in the last 5 years.
  • Relevant College Diploma or bachelor's degree.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop engaged customer relationships and effectively implement strategic concepts.
  • Strong business acumen: Experience articulating ROI, Solution Selling Ability.
  • Excellent time and territory management skills, experience using CRM tools is a must.
  • Entrepreneurial and selfmotivated.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite and smartphones.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in French and English.

Dans ce rôle, vous êtes responsable de la création, du maintien et de l'élargissement de la clientèle d'Omnitrans afin de respecter les objectifs annuels.


Votre quotidien:


  • Vous travaillerez en collaboration avec les clients actuels et potentiels en tant que conseiller de confiance pour comprendre en profondeur les défis et les objectifs de leur entreprise;
  • Par le biais de la représentation en vente directe, fidéliser une clientèle B2B au sein d'une zone géographique déterminée tout en renforçant la position de la société et sa part de marché sur le territoire;
  • Analyser la clientèle (courants et perspectives) et cibler les opportunités les plus prometteuses;
  • Identifier les écarts de produits dans les habitudes d'achat actuelles du client et créer des plans commerciaux pour tirer parti des opportunités et atteindre les objectifs de vente;
  • Utilisation de la Gestion du Temps et du Territoire (TTM), du territoire de la zone en fonction du potentiel du client et de l'historique des ventes précédentes, créer / gérer son propre programme quotidien et utiliser des outils de productivité des ventes tels que Salesforce;
  • Assurer l'intégration réussie de nouvelles activités au sein du réseau de l'entreprise
