Responsibilities:


PRIMARY PURPOSE


Facilitates the process and organizational change for a business unit by defining needs and recommending technology solutions that deliver value to stakeholders through the discipline of Business Analysis.

Ensures stakeholder requirements and solution options are conveyed in terms of impact, risk, cost and alignment to corporate priorities and objectives.

Provides expertise to ensure appropriate technology is utilized to meet the business need.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES


Aligns business requirements with the technology products and services currently provided by BTS, and also to recognize when a request is for something new, that we haven't done before and there is no internal knowledge or expertise.


Collaborates with business representatives to understand the business need and understand their processes and how technology could enable improvements and meet business objectives.

Determines requirements of the business need and identify the value, impact, and risks to be addressed, and estimates the investment and effort needed to achieve the desired result.


Develops business cases to support funding requests that validate the business need and clarify the alignment to strategic objectives and priorities.

Document all requirements, research, findings and agreements, succinctly and clearly, without technical jargon and unnecessary complexity.


Researches and maintains currency on technology products within the market place, as well as, maintains a deep understanding of the inventory of products available internally, in order to assess and identify the solution options that would satisfy the business needs.


Collaborates with, and acts as the key bridging relationship resource among various business departments and technology specialists; provides process and planning expertise to business leaders; notifies management and key stakeholders in real-time of important developments, potential problems and related information.

Fosters and maintains relationships with internal BTS services providers and stakeholders to ensure knowledge is current and aligned with product and governance strategies.


Support projects as needed, including engaging with project teams, developing project management deliverables and documentation, and collaborating with project stakeholders as needed throughout project lifecycles.


Analyzes the requirements and current state of processes and technologies to identify the gaps that require further analysis through a funded Feasibility Study, and identify the skills that need to be recruited in order to understand and propose a remedy for the gap.

Prepares and delivers professional presentations and business reports that support the processes that plan and deliver technology solutions.


Qualifications:


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


The requirements for this position are acquired through completion of a Bachelor degree in Business Administration or Computer Science, plus six (6) years of information technology and business analysis in a complex environment with enterprise systems, and multi-stakeholder projects.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Advanced communication skills, both written and oral


Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to provide advice, consultation and guidance to business leaders across the organization.

Strong facilitation skills to present findings from analysis of business need to multiple stakeholders.

Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills in a multi-stakeholder environment

Strong knowledge of current technology in the marketplace

A solid working knowledge of enterprise systems and solutions

Recruitment Process:

An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process.

A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.


Work Schedule:

37.5 hour
