International Relations and Partnerships Specialist, you will be at the forefront of building bridges that connect the U of R with the world

Join the dynamic UR International team at the University of Regina as the new International Relations and Partnerships Specialist.

This exciting role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of our institution by facilitating initiatives with key stakeholders, both on and off campus.

This position reports to the Manager of International Relations and Partnerships (IRP) and supports the IRP team in providing in-depth content, research and analytics to guide the University's international stakeholder initiatives.


What You'll Do:

Facilitate New International Initiatives:Initiate and nurture innovative international initiatives, creating a web of connections that expands the horizons of the U of R.

Develop and Finalize International Agreements:Play a key role in crafting agreements that transcend borders, from Memorandums of Understanding to Student Exchange Program Agreements.

Collaborate Across Sectors:Work with diverse partners, from educational institutions to community organizations and government agencies, not only in Canada but around the globe.

Ensure Compliance and Precision:Become the guardian of agreements, ensuring they align with university requirements and policies.

Data Keeper and Analyst:Maintain the integrity of international agreements by keeping our systems accurate and up to date. You are the curator of our global partnerships.

Support Leadership:Assist our senior leadership by providing the insights they need to navigate the international landscape. Your words will shape our global narrative.

Elevate Events:Be part of the team behind international events with governments and partner institutions. Your organization will take these events to new heights.

Play Host:Coordinate visiting delegations' activities, meetings, and events. You are the welcoming committee for our global guests.

Build Relations:Ensure that international delegations are treated with the utmost respect and their expectations are exceeded.

Record Keeper:Maintain records of all delegations and missions.

Mission Coordinator:Organize international missions, from travel itineraries to meetings. Your organizational skills will make these missions a success.

Position Requirements


What You Will Bring to the Position:

  • An undergraduate degree in an appropriate discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of work experience in an administrative environment.
  • Experience working in a professional capacity internationally will be a vital asset.
  • Experience in international travel, volunteerism, or study will be an asset.

Skills That Will Ensure Your Success in this Role:

  • Demonstrate solid cross-cultural understanding and ability to practice sound judgment and professionalism when working with internal and external partners and stakeholders of diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of culture, business etiquette, traditions, and diplomatic protocol.
