    Journeyman Welder

    Nisku, Alberta


    We are seeking an experienced Journeyman Welder with expertise in MIG (GMAW), Stick (SMAW), and TIG welding to join our team on a temporary basis until at least September, with the potential for permanent placement.

    This role offers a unique opportunity to showcase your welding skills on diverse projects and the possibility of transitioning to an afternoon shift later on.

    Monday-Friday: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

    Start Hourly Wage $35

    Responsibilities

    • Perform High-

    Quality Welds:
    Execute precise MIG (GMAW), Stick (SMAW), and TIG welding on a variety of materials and projects.

    • Ensure Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
    • Read and

    Interpret Blueprints:
    Accurately read and follow blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to complete projects to specification.

    • Inspect and

    Maintain Equipment:
    Regularly inspect welding equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and perform routine maintenance as needed.

    • Collaborate with

    Team Members:

    Work closely with other welders, fabricators, and team members to ensure project deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.


    • Quality Control: Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet company standards and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
    • Documentation:Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the welding process.
    Qualifications

    • Must hold a journeyman welder ticket
    • 5 years of experience as a journeyman is an asset
    • Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
    • Hold valid MIG (GMAW), Stick (SMAW), and TIG certificate
    • Ability to provide your own 6" steeltoed boots
    • Capable of lifting up to 50lbs, working at heights, agility, and navigating equipment and ladders
    • Must have legal authorization to work in Canada (Canadian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, or valid Canadian work permit)
