We are currently recruiting Equipment Operators to join our team.

In this position you would be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Excavators or Dozers related to the completion of bulk earthworks, detailed excavations, installation of underground servicing, placement of aggregates and detailed finishing activities on active construction projects.

Responsibilities

Review daily tasks with crew foreman and site supervisor
Ensure equipment is inspected, prepared and maintained to be ready for daily activities
Follow approved plan and sequencing in the completion of construction tasks
Communicate equipment defects, maintenance items to avoid lost time and project delays
Understanding of GPS automated equipment systems including setup and take down
Ensure daily duties are completed in accordance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations
Complete daily and weekly hazard assessments, equipment review and hourly tracking
Other duties as required by the site supervisor or operations team

Requirements:

35 years of similar experience in civil, landscape, earthwork or environmental construction
Valid driver's license and clean abstract
Ability to understand construction processes
Understanding of grades and underground site services
Knowledge of mechanical systems and daily maintenance requirements
Strong work ethic with ability to follow direction
Ability to receive direction and communicate effectively with other team members
Eagerness to learn and grow within the company
