Your Impact:


In this role, you lead construction administration tasks for multiple construction projects, ensuring that all necessary documentation is prepared, maintained and submitted, while maintaining the appropriate level of communication with clients and internal project teams.


How you will contribute to the team:

  • Lead the site review team, coordinating with Project Managers and Field/Site Inspectors on project progress.
  • Oversee production of appropriate site documentation, payment certificates, and log books, conforming to each project's specific needs.
  • Maintain necessary document control and participate in appropriate QA/QC processes.
  • Chair preconstruction and progress site meetings.
  • Negotiate construction change orders and claims.
  • Undertake site reviews as required, ensuring that the work is in conformance with the construction contract and client requirements and maintain site logs.
  • Prepare and issue tender documents, including managing bid closings, issuing of addenda and recommendations to clients.
  • Prepare cost estimates for securities, including takeoffs and managing a costing database.
  • Liaise with contractors and municipality engineering employees to ensure construction complies with approved drawings and assist in resolving problems and discrepancies.
  • Champion safety and maintain a healthy and safe workplace and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and legislation, including occupational health and safety, WHMIS and hazardous substances programs.
  • Train and mentor field inspectors and Assistant Contract Administrators.
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relations with all members of the project delivery team.

What you bring:


  • C.E.T. certification with OACETT or P.Eng. designation with PEO considered an asset.
  • Minimum ten (10) years' experience of relevant civil construction inspection and contract administration.
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in land development industry.
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills for interaction and correspondence with clients, colleagues, consultants, and team.
  • Effective analytical and decisionmaking skills, with commitment to excellence and highquality work.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Established working relationship with various municipalities.
  • Valid "G" driver's license in good standing and access to a reliable vehicle for commute to project locations.
  • Projects are spread throughout Ontario and occasional overnight travel may be required.
