Manager, Translation Services, Bilingual | Directeur(-trice), Traduction


What is the opportunity?

What will you do?

  • Manage the relationship with the translation agency to control costs, drive service excellence and mitigate risks to gain increased value.
  • Check revisions in new and regularly occurring materials to ensure French communications convey the same message as the English.
  • Ensure translation is consistent across all marketing materials and tools (print and digital).
  • Proofread certain French marketing materials to ensure finished versions are free of spelling, grammar and formatting errors.
  • Routinely audit RBC GAM web properties and tools to ensure consistency and accuracy of content to English.
  • Remain abreast of regularly changes with respect to distribution of content in Quebec and support change management and production requirements related to new regulatory changes.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Exceptional communication skills in French and English, both written and verbal (this role involves translating documents from English to French and requires frequent communication with head office staff in Toronto)
  • 3+ years in a French translation role
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat writer.

Nice to have

  • Experience working in the investment industry an asset
