The Opportunity

Columbia College is looking for
a Sessional Chemistry Lab Instructor **to teach the following labs on campus.
- **CHEM 121, General Chemistry I, section (12)*

Thursdays from 12:00 to 14:00.

- **CHEM 121, General Chemistry I, section (92) *

Thursdays from 14:00 to 16:00.

- **CHEM 100, Chemistry and the World Around Us, section (18) *

Thursdays from 18:00 to 20:00.

This part-time sessional position will commence in
January 2024 and end in
April 2024.
Key Responsibilities

Instructors' primary responsibilities include planning, teaching, marking, and grading the appointed course/s.

-
Master's degree in Chemistry:

Online and facetoface experience teaching
Chemistry at another postsecondary institution.
Excellent expertise with Learning Management Systems (Knowledge and experience with Moodle is an asset)
Demonstrated success in innovative or studentcentered teaching techniques.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Experience in teaching a diverse student body.

Compensation

We offer attractive compensation. For a Master's degree holder, the gross salary per lab is
$2,936.61 and for a Ph.
D. holder
, $3,277.71 per lab.
