General Labourer to join our team and help us with projects throughout Nova Scotia.
Reporting to the Site Foreman and Site Lead Hand, this position is responsible for performing a large variety of construction related tasks involving strenuous manual labour in a safe and appropriate manner consistent with company values, policies, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Must be reliable, punctual and possess a positive attitude.
- Able to work as a team and communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers, ensuring all tasks are being completed in a safe and timely manner.
- Comfortable working variable hours at various locations all throughout Nova Scotia.
- Reliable transportation to and from the jobsites/pickup points.
- Previous experience as a labourer working with concrete, waterproofing, cementitious coatings will be considered an asset.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Participate and contribute to safety meetings.
- Follow instructions from supervisors.
- Assist Lead Hands and other skilled laborers when necessary.
- Use of air operated tools such as jack hammers, chippers, basic hand tools, etc.
- Keep construction sites free of obstacles and hazards.
- Load or unload construction materials.
- Physical labour
- Site clean up.
