AlumaSafway is currently recruiting Journeyman/Woman
Scaffolders and Apprentice Scaffolders for our Fort McMurray area sites.

Scaffolders erect and dismantle temporary work platforms or structures that safely hold workers, tools, equipment, and construction components.


SCHEDULE:


  • 12 hour shift
  • Overtime when applicable
  • 7/7 Shift rotation, other shifts potentially available
  • Camp Provided

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Scaffolders provide other trades with safe, secure access to areas both indoors and outdoors.
  • May be required to plan and order onsite scaffolding materials.
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed, and onsite client relations are positive.
  • Scaffolders work mostly outdoors at a variety of locations, extreme heights, and allweather conditions.
  • Must be able to work in Confined Space areas as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

3rd year Apprentices and Journeyman Scaffolders[MJ2]

  • Basic math skills and the ability to follow instructions
  • The ability to work at heights
  • Must have physical strength and endurance, lifting up to 50lbs
  • Be able to wear a safety harness once trained

SAFETY COURSES REQUIRED:

OSSA Regional/OSSA BSO/Energy Safety Canada CSO

Fall Protection (Energy Canada or ACTI)

Confined Space (OSSA, Energy Canada, or ACTI)

WHMIS 2015

PPE AND TOOLS:


  • Provide your own scaffolder tools and belt
  • CSA approved work boots

This is a unionized position.

Travel allowance available based on location

Salary:
$22.16-$43.96 per hour
