"General Accountability:
- This position is responsible for the development of processes, communications, implementation, measurement, evaluation and ongoing recommendations for the TTC's performance based awards. Also responsible for providing a variety of field support services related to the effective communication of public and corporate information programs and the implementation and setup of special events. Handles the planning, development, implementation and coordination of a range of activities and special events designed to enhance the TTC's public and internal image and to strengthen its relationship and integration with the City of Toronto. Responsible for the implementation of communications programs and activities in support of the Rewards & Recognition Program, to enhance understanding of the revitalized program by TTC employees. This includes developing branding, marketing and internal communications programs.
Key Job Functions:
- Develop processes, communications and implementation as well as ongoing measurement, evaluation and recommendations for the TTC's performance based awards.
- Manage the nomination process, adjudication committees and selection process for awards, including Leadership, Teamwork, Customer Service, Safety and Employee of the Year.
- Manage program and event logistics for performance based awards in order to effectively implement them and ensure that TTC's goals and objectives are achieved.
- Collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, including other departments and senior level executives, to ensure the seamless evolvement of events/activities from conception to completion.
- Work collaboratively with Corporate Communications to develop Communication Plan, and content for Rewards & Recognition Program and Special Events. Provide guidance, expertise, and recommendations to enhance the quality and profile of the TTC's rewards and recognition program.
- Develop plans involving budgets, communications, resources, and other various activities involved in rewards and recognition events.
- Promotes a respectful work and service environment that supports diversity, inclusion, and is free from harassment and discrimination. Provides leadership in the development and implementation of inclusive and accessible policies, programs and/or services for employees and customers in accordance with TTC's commitments and obligations under the Ontario Human Rights Code (OHRC) and Related Orders, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and TTC's policies

Education and Experience: - Completion of a post
- secondary college diploma or university degree in a related discipline or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent combined with demonstrated meeting & events planning or communications experience
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent project management skills in planning multi projects with interdependent timelines.
- Sound Knowledge of communications concepts, principles and techniques.
- Applied knowledge of audiovisual, print, web, multimedia and graphics principles and practices aligned with demonstrated skills in the communication of informational and promotion material.
- Sound judgement; excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to think on one's feet; be decisive in the moment and maintain composure in the face of unforeseen issues; work independently as well as with multiple stakeholders across the organization including senior leadership.
- Ability to communicate a clear vision and ensure objectives are met.
