About the Role:


The Research and Consumers Insights Department of Corus Entertainment has a 1 year remote contract opening for a Local Market Research Analyst.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing video and audio research in support of business planning and development, reporting directly to the Manager, Audience Insights - Local Markets.

The incumbent will work closely with local sales and content teams to satisfy business requirements.

You will contribute by:


  • Work with Manager, Audience Insights
  • Local Markets in the preparation of impactful strategically sound multiplatform research sales pieces utilizing available industry resources
  • Actively identify sales revenue opportunities using industry tools and resources
  • Provide data for local market trade communication pieces for in market media assets with a particular focus on local market news and radio
  • Prepare market research for local programming teams with a particular focuson radio and news content
  • Prepare and provide insights into audio and video landscape and the competitive environment data for internal stakeholders through regular reporting and presentations
  • Support the Manager, Audience Insights
  • Local Markets in the participation of larger scale multimarket research presentations and reporting, ensuring consistent look and messaging

Skills and experience you will bring:

  • 3 years in media or advertising-related background
  • Experience working with 3rd party media databases such as Numeris PPM, VAM, Vividata and affiliated software
  • Skilled in PowerPoint and Excel software
  • Experience in Power BI or any dashboard creation is considered an asset
  • Ability to analyze and interpret audience research data in a clear, concise manner, summarizing information for the end user
  • Postsecondary education in media, advertising or related program considered an asset
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with multiple stakeholders
  • Enthusiastic work ethic and proactive approach with the ability to maintain a professional approach at all times
  • Excellent communication and problemsolving skills, with high attention to detail
  • Customer focused
