Job Description


Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, the Technical Sales (Fire Specialist) develops profitable sales and ensures that customers' expectations are consistently met, maximizing our market share.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Represent and promote Brogan and our manufacturer partners products and services focusing on the "Fire Market."
  • Organize and utilized specialized equipment (Paratech, Genesis, Bunker gear, Hose, nozzles, etc.) and provide the necessary training and demonstrations to sales reps and customers.
  • Work closely with manufacturer representatives to schedule and attend joint calls and demonstrations.
  • Where applicable, work with local existing branch and outside sales representatives to offer support.
  • Conduct classroom and field training of endusers and manufacturing sales representatives.
  • Perform necessary and applicable service on equipment for customers and ensure work is invoiced accordingly.
  • Manage Demo equipment for the division and supplies to ensure complete and presentable for next demonstration.
  • Manage and maintain samples and demo equipment as necessary.
  • Responsible for achieving market share growth. this will be measured through vendor YOY sales numbers.
  • Participates in joint forecasting and Sales and Operations Planning
  • Manage and build strong relationships with manufacture sales representatives.
  • Build strong relationships through direct contact with endusers.
  • Focus on pullthrough marketing activities, such as product promotions.
  • Serve as point of contact for customer network.
  • Attend tradeshows as well as participation in major industry events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Develop long term profitable relationships with select key customers in trading area to promote sales and services in the municipal and industrial fire market.
  • Communicate with Senior Management on market and businessrelated issues and opportunities.
  • Behave in an ethical and professional manner reflecting the values of the Company;
  • Engage and cultivate strong, long term relationships with key suppliers;
  • Review and advise management on alternative vendors and products.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Minimum five (5) years of industry experience preferable, and at least two (2) years of experience in sales or a combination of relevant professional training and experience;


  • Demonstrated sales ability;

  • Excellent knowledge of English and / or French written and spoken;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Product knowledge;
  • Must be customer service driven and results oriented;
  • Computer experience an asset.
