Brandt is currently seeking a 310T Truck & Coach Technician for our Ottawa
Peterbilt location.


This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of truck & coach based equipment and attachments in a shop environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair truck & coach equipment
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
  • Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
  • Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
  • Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required
  • Other duties as required

Required Skills:


  • Must have the ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel
  • Outstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Proven computer and technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work
  • Demonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs
  • Strong timemanagement skills to perform effectively under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
  • A commitment to high quality customer service with a strong people orientation
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Required Experience

  • Previous mechanical experience in a truck & coach environment is preferred
  • Certified journeyperson or apprentices in the truck & coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade
  • Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems considered an asset
  • Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
