What you will do
Our GTA office is seeking undergraduate Business or Accounting students, who are pursuing their CPA designation to join the team as summer intern or co-op student in 2024 as part of our
Tax Practice .
Our Tax Team
In KPMG's Tax practice, your skills, tact and knowledge can make a difference to your client's business strategy and ultimately, their bottom line.
You will have the opportunity to work with one of the many teams within our Tax Practice, which could include:
Canadian tax
Canadian companies and individuals must deal with numerous government authorities and frequent changes to tax laws and regulations. Canadian Tax professionals assist businesses and individuals in understanding how to effectively respond to these changes.
Indirect tax
Using extensive industry experience and by continuously monitoring legislative, judicial, and administrative policy changes, Indirect Tax professionals help manage indirect tax responsibilities and the associated costs to each business.
US Corporate tax
Our US Tax practice assists organizations i) in deciding which business structure will be the most effective from a US tax perspective - subsidiary, branch, or joint-venture partnership when dealing with cross border expansions or in deciding the most tax efficient investment sleeve to invest in for those clients investing in Asset Management funds; ii) in choosing tax effective methods of capitalization, financing, and repatriation; iii) with their US tax provision and/or compliance requirements.
