With massive growth ahead for i-Sight, we're looking for an experienced
Accounting Manager to assist with the execution of accounting principles and procedures throughout the organization's accounting cycle and ensure excellence in i-Sight's day-to-day financial accounting and reporting functions.


In this role (remote-first), your focus in this role will be to assist in developing, implementation, and maintaining departmental procedures, while assisting with month end close and maintaining multiple balance sheet accounts within appropriate accounting control procedures.

Reporting to the Controller, you will supervise, leverage and develop strengths of the current accounting team and will need to understand i-Sight's business transactions and their related impact on the general ledger and financial statements in order to provide astute analysis to the management team.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and develop members of the accounting team
  • Daily review of all transactions and balance sheet accounts, reconciling any discrepancies
  • Oversee accounts payable, the appropriate use of expense accounts in the GL, as well as reconciling and expensing the organizations' credit cards
  • Oversee accounts receivable, collections and monthly revenue recognition
  • Assist with payroll and benefits (although not directly responsible for processing or administering the benefits)
  • Lead monthend process, including accounts reconciliation, adjusting journal entries, fixed asset depreciation, etc.
  • Assist with creation of variance analysis from forecasted values, and communicate those discrepancies
  • Reconcile monthly bank statements
  • Ensure compliance of local, provincial and federal requirements for accounting practices and participate in annual audit requests
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting and compliance and support yearend process
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting
  • Assist with development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal control measures
  • Work with individuals on the accounting team and throughout the organization to resolve any clientlevel (internal and external) accounting issues
  • Additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' finance and accounting experience
  • 23 years of supervisory experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA considered an asset
  • Experience working with multiple currencies
  • Payroll Experience (Canadian payroll considered a strong asset)
  • Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls
  • Ability to process information in a deeply analytical manner
  • Ability to handle changing and high pressure situations
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (macros, pivot tables, lookup functions)
  • Selfmotivated, proactive and able to work independently with little supervision while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with a superior command of English
