About the role
We're looking for an
Underwriter I, Personal Lines to join our growing Nordic Insurance team

What you'll do here:

Assess and evaluate automobile insurance policy risks for Facility Association
Process, underwrite and authorize the acceptance of new business, renewals, cancellations and endorsements
Review supporting claims reports and legal background
May provide technical advice, recommendations, and mentoring to Underwriting Assistants
May provide training and information sessions
Answering inquiries and making recommendations to agents through verbal and written correspondence
Write summaries regarding overall results

What you bring to the table:

University degree, college diploma, or any combination of equivalent education and experience
Previous experience an asset
Insurance Professional (CIP) designation completed or in progress an asset
Must demonstrate strong problemsolving skills and critical thinking
Must be able to interpret policy wording and legal documents
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient computer and keyboarding skills
Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship building abilities
Demonstrated efficiency and strong timemanagement skills to meet competing productivity
