Basic Purpose of Position:


To support and monitor line operations and the Flight Attendant group while contributing to On Time Performance (OTP), Customer Satisfaction (CS) and a safe operation.

Provide and coordinate regional support to the Regional Managers regarding safety, operational performance, customer satisfaction, labour issues and other applicable items in the base.

Liaise with other departments and outside parties.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct follow up on questions, day to day issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Oversee daily operations of cabin crew.
  • Provide support, coaching, and feedback to the flight attendant group.
  • Participate in the interviewing and selection process for flight attendant hiring.
  • Communicate and bring meaning to department/corporate directions and communications.
  • Provide interpretation and guidance of Collective Agreement language and investigate possible violations when necessary.
  • Provide operational support during IRROPS such as extreme weather events and technological system failures as required.
  • Provide operational support during emergencies.
  • Participate in local Union/Management meetings.
  • Attend grievance and disciplinary meetings.
  • Write Inflight memos to cabin crew dealing with operational issues within the region.
  • Conduct frequent and regular visits to the ramp/aircraft, crew room, crew lounge, to support the operation and ensure flight attendant compliance with standards.
  • Participate on Inflight/Flight Operations team and employee groups.
  • Conduct oncall manager duties on a rotational basis (24/7).
  • Protect the operation by performing rescue flights.
  • Provide support to charter operations.
  • Assist with the implementation of new fleet types.
  • Liaise with Jazz/Air Canada Airports groups to ensure operational integrity.
  • Monitor flight attendants to confirm compliance with company policies, procedures and standards.
  • Conduct line assessments.
  • Monitor flight attendant absenteeism within the guidelines as set out in the Jazz Attendance Wellness Program.
  • Coordinate with the Regional Manager on investigational meetings.
  • Follow up on culpable absences, manage Flight Attendant sick time.
  • Liaise with other departments as required.
  • Follow up on Flight Attendant injuries and provide support.
  • Identify and promote customer service excellence and best practices.
  • Communicate flight attendant commendations.
  • Maintain visibility and accessibility with flight attendants through regular presence in the operation and CRM meet and greets.
  • Communicate customer satisfaction survey results to flight attendants and promote the importance of the program.
  • Uphold Jazz vision, values, and culture.
  • Support new hire flight attendants (mentorship, probationary meetings etc).
  • Maintain flight attendant qualifications.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance audits on all aspects of Flight Attendant's work.
  • Participate on local Occupational Safety and Health committees.
  • Liaise with Corporate Safety Investigator on related occurrences.
  • Conduct followup on Inflight safety reports, questions, and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Support and promote quality and SMS.
  • Complete all required corporate training courses.
Other related duties as assigned. Perform duties in accordance with established policies and procedures while giving primary consideration to personal safety, and the safety of co-workers and customers


Qualifications:

Aviation College Degree/Diploma or Business Degree/Diploma (required):

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is a requirement

Knowledge of software/systems: Etrip, Rainmaker, Jazznet, Q-Pulse, CrewTrac, Movement Control. Labour relations training
