The position comes with the opportunity to work very closely with developing and experienced professionals within a growing, employee-owned business.


As a Hazardous Materials Lead you will:

  • Support the goals of the environment team, monitoring and manage operational responsibilities of the staff within the hazardous materials group
  • Coordinate and execute field work associated with hazardous materials services
  • Prepare and/or review of technical reports
  • Manage project financials and schedules
  • Communication with clients to assist with the development and execution of work
  • Proposal preparation and/or review
  • Ensure high quality technical work, including field methodology, reporting, and client deliverables
  • Foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement through onthejob coaching and guidance to staff
  • Proactively commit to creating a positive work environment
  • Support and/or developing Health & Safety programs
  • Collaborate with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multidisciplinary projects
  • Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed

What you will need to be successful in this role:

  • Degree or Diploma in related discipline
  • 10+ years of prior consulting experience working in the field of hazardous materials or other related disciplines
  • Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
  • Comfortable interacting with the public, clients, contractors, and coworkers
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, and to proactively respond to timesensitive issues
  • Excellent English (verbal/written) communication skills
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and willingness to learn and teach
