Geoscience interns have an exciting opportunity to work side-by-side with industry experts utilizing cutting-edge geological, geophysical, and engineering technologies on some of the industry's best assets.
Our geologists are part of multi-disciplinary teams that include engineers, geophysicists, petrophysicists, land negotiators, regulatory and operations professionals who all work together to achieve success.
This role provides a tremendous opportunity to learn the teamwork and discipline it takes to be a part of a leading North American energy producer.
To ensure interns are given relevant, value-add and meaningful work our projects are designed to stretch your abilities, give you the opportunity to learn and gain new skills and help you launch your career in the field of geology.
Our Geoscience interns will be placed in a position that will give them exposure to the many roles of a professional geoscientist, including Exploration, Reservoir Characterization, Development and Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Log interpretation, geologic mapping, structural modelling, core analysis.
- Investigating critical parameters that influence productivity and economics.
- Identify opportunities for new well locations or pad optimization.
- Supporting operations through drilling and completions as it relates to rock properties.
- Multidisciplinary integration (e.g. Geophysics, Petrophysics, etc.).
Required Qualifications- Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.- Must be enrolled in an accredited Canadian university program in Geoscience, Geology.- Must be enrolled as a full-time student through December Available May 6, August 23, 2024.
Hiring Hourly Range:
$ $38.94 CAD
Compensation may vary and will be determined by academic experience and placement location.
