We have an immediate opening for an
experienced
Project Coordinator.


We are looking for someone with a minimum 2 yrs experience, able to read architectural and structural drawings and is well organized.

The successful applicant will also be proficient in the use of Bluebeam and MS Office.


Position Summary
This position requires critical thinking, excellent negotiation skills, and strong face to face, telephone, and electronic communication skills.

This position also requires the ability to learn price and cost structures, logistics, steel, and other factors affecting pricing and trends.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Manages the planning, controlling, and purchasing of materials
  • Ensures material availability to support manufacturing
  • Conducts analysis of material costs and best pricing
  • Review drawings, contract drawings and inhouse drawings
  • Analysis on makeorbuy decisions on certain commodities.
  • Maintains quality compliance standards of purchased productions
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
  • Enter purchase orders as per the purchasing queue.
  • Follow up with purchase order confirmations.
  • Monitor supplier service, performance, and quality of products received.
  • Ensure steel arrives on time for systems on the production schedule. Knows how to expedite when needed.
  • Use tools to monitor working hours, shifts, plans and expenditures
  • Issue all appropriate legal paperwork (e.g. contracts and terms of agreement)
  • Foster a culture of safety awareness and safety prioritization.
  • Maintain inventory levels for materials and components.
  • Perform any other tasks or duties as assigned by the division management team.

Job Requirements

  • Education_
  • Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience
  • Experience & Certifications_
  • Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience of purchasing/buying practices and warehouse operations
  • Effectively interact with vendors and internal support groups.
  • Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Good at math and statistics
  • Strong organizational and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Able to read & interpret structural steel drawings
  • Knowledge of Excel, Bluebeam and AutoCAD
