The
SIOP Planning Analyst is responsible for supporting Celestica Newmarket SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations) process improvement in align with Corp.

SIOP guidance to achieve site operations targets. The role will report to the SCM Manager.


This key role coordinates the demand & supply review process for SIOP to support the SCM Director and SCM Managers by assessing customer demand, production capacity, inventory and material supply capability to ensure cross-functional communication of information, which lead to timely SIOP approval and execution.

The role will work with SCM management to elevate the SIOP maturity by driving SIOP standardization and process improvement.

The role will lead varies projects to implement statistical analysis for demand management, use extensive simulations (scenario planning, what-if analysis) to identify demand, supply, inventory risk to management, develop production capacity model in conjunction with operations and engineering teams, improve NPI SIOP process and implement systems and tools automation.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop the optimization of forecasting and demand planning process to meet and exceed internal and external customer requirements. Develop and support effective statistical forecast models for demand management implementation at multiple hierarchical levels with qualitative input.
  • Develop production capacity model in conjunction with operations and engineering teams. Work closely with Supply Chain and Operations in understanding capacity constraints that prevent from achieving demand plan.
  • Participate monthly SIOP, conducts demands gap analysis, support inventory optimization through effective SIOP execution in alignment with demand and supply planning execution.
  • Consolidates and analyzes demand and supply information for the operational, tactical, and strategic plans and reports to management to drive the effective business decisionmaking process.
  • Improve the new product launch SIOP process in conjunction with SCM management by analyzing customers NPI projects as they progress through commercialization.
  • Develops advanced analytical models, tools and reporting to support the entire SIOP process & the monthly SIOP reviews. Explores and analyzes the effect of parameter changes using different whatifscenarios. Evaluates root causes, tracking historical data to improve modeling accuracy for accurate projection.
  • Utilizes problemsolving, business analysis, and database skills to provide insight into business issues under moderate guidance.
  • Supports strategic decisionmaking and the improvement of critical processes including demand planning, supply planning (production capacity planning, inventory and critical material planning).
  • Own and manage SIOP calendar of events, meeting recaps and action plans, issue resolution, and tracking demand/supply mitigating actions in conjunction with SCM management.
  • Work with SCM management to elevate the SIOP maturity by leading various projects to drive SIOP standardization and process improvement.
  • Contribute to the continuous development of planning systems and supporting tools that lead to elevate the sites SIOP maturity to a worldclass SIOP process.
  • Creates, monitors, and maintains SIOP KPI metrics, identifying potential risks and reporting to management.
  • Implementing SCM systems, tools, reporting automation and roll out as assigned by management.

Requirements:


  • Must have Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Science or Finance, MBA preferred. APICS CPIM and/or CSCP certification required. Project Management or Lean Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in SIOP or S&OP, Demand & Supply Planning, production & capacity planning in a large complexed EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) manufacturing environment, aerospace & defense, enterprise computer, pharma, CPG industries preferred
  • Must have extensive SAP experience in MPS and MRP and advanced Excel (Micro, VBA). Power BI, Kinaxis Rapid Response, PowerPoint experience preferred.
  • Exceptional analytical and statistical skills. Proficient in statistics data, forecasting methods, data modeling with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts. Ability to leverage numbers and insights to influence & drive sound decision making.
  • Strong, organizational, interpersonal, and decisionmaking abilities, able to balance multiple priorities, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines.
  • Ability to work in the team environment independently and with crossfunctional team effectively.
