Description
The House of Commons Administration delivers exceptional services to Members of Parliament and their staff to support parliamentary democracy. We embrace diversity in all its forms, acknowledging that each individual brings valuable contributions and potential for personal development.
As a Constituency Assistant, you will report directly to the Member of Parliament and play a crucial role in providing administrative support services. Your main responsibilities include advancing the MP's objectives and priorities through outreach, event planning, and strategic initiatives. You will serve as the primary point of contact for constituents both in person and over the phone, working closely with the constituency office team to enhance the MP's work.
Qualified candidates will have a post-secondary education in a relevant field from a recognized institution or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Additionally, experience in an office environment providing reception or administrative support is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and database management, along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure, are essential for this role.
Assets:Location: Constituency Office in Richmond, British Columbia.
Hours: Full-time position (37.5 hours per week) with occasional evening and weekend assignments.
