We're looking for our next
Site Superintendent to join our amazing construction team.

Working under the supervision of the Construction Manager, the
Superintendent directs subcontractors and other construction personnel to complete our customer homes on time, on budget and without any deficiencies.

Our new
Superintendent will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide leadership to Site Assistants that demonstrates and results in a safe work culture, and is responsible for the safety of crews under their direction
  • Conduct morning walk through of all properties in entirety, noting any issue that needs to be addressed
  • Schedule all necessary trade work resulting from inspections
  • Oversee the execution of the work, including quality and production, by ensuring that the crews work to job specifications
  • Identify needs and deficiencies in the plan/schedule and communicating these to the appropriate persons
  • Translate general work requirements into a prioritized work plan for each crew
  • Review and adjust specific workforce activities and task schedules to meet established production schedules
  • Identify, verify and report any scheduling conflicts with other crews and contractors to the appropriate persons
  • Review inspection reports and coordinate resolutions for deficiencies
  • Conduct client walk through to ensure plan specifications and expectations at both rough in and cabinet stage are met
  • Review project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling conflicts, possible cost saving measures and potential construction problems
  • Ability to intelligently and professionally communicate with internal team members and clients
  • Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a daily basis
  • Raise and discuss relevant issues at job site meetings
  • Inform the Construction Manager of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the design drawings
  • Maintain a safe job site and ensure that the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Act are enforced
  • Maintain and enforce good construction standard and quality control
  • Maintain control and responsibility for the security and operation of company's equipment on the job site
  • Control and monitor labor, material and rental expenses
  • Ensure "as built" drawings are prepared on an ongoing basis by all trades during the construction period
  • Coordinate all required municipal inspections
  • Support monthly safety reports
  • Update and submit weekly management reports
  • Attend weekly construction meetings at head office
  • Maintain a portfolio of 1525 homes at any given time

Qualifications and Experience:


  • First Aid Qualified

Minimum 4+ years of Residential construction and site management experience with demonstrated experience in managing projects

  • Industry related education is an asset
  • Indepth knowledge of Alberta Building Code
  • Journeyman ticket in applicable trade is preferred
  • Promotes and champions Health & Safety at all times

  • Strong ability to multitask, be proactive and detail oriented
  • Selfmotivated
  • Basic understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to effectively problem solve
  • Work with mínimal supervision
