About the Role
The Company has an Actuarial Analyst Development Program that provides support for actuarial exams.


Responsibilities:
(include but not limited to):

  • Quarterly production runs under US GAAP and US Statutory bases including the following:
  • Preparation of the models including updates to assumptions and data
  • Preparation of Economic Scenario Generators (ESG)
  • Production of quarterly results, disclosures, and controls
  • Analysis of results
  • Yearend production runs including US asset adequacy analysis and RBC testing;
  • Ensure reserve calculations conform to US GAAP LDTI standard (Long-Duration Targeted Improvements) and US Statutory standards;
  • Perform quarterly model refinements;
  • Perform analysis of reinsurance performance, produce experience studies, sensitivities and other disclosures;
  • Ensure that data feeds from 3rdparty administrators meet the required standards;
  • Support for capital, risk management and pricing;
  • Support 3rdparty audits;
  • Ensure that relevant deadlines are met at all times.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or a related field;
  • Completed a minimum of 5 examinations of the Society of Actuaries. An ASA designation is preferred;
  • Experience with life insurance and annuity products;
  • Experience with AXIS;
  • Experience with stochastic modelling in AXIS would be beneficial;
  • Strong technical skills and ability to analyze and solve problems;
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills;
  • Programming skills and knowledge of VBA would be beneficial.

Salary:
$70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
