- Keep all equipment, warehouse and plant areas clean.
- Initiate the purchase of parts, materials and cleaning supplies in accordance with company procedures.
- Mounting, cleaning and installing fans.
- Flooring scrapping and cleaning as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks for Utilities equipment.
- Must be able to coordinate projects and communicate results.
- May work in a variety of job classifications under a skilled worker or the Facilities Supervisor who will provide general supervision and instructions on routine work and detailed instructions given for new activities or special assignments.
- Undertake any required action to restore or maintain equipment in a safe and clean operating condition.
- Properly use and maintain tools and equipment utilized in the work area.
- Participate on the spill response team.
- Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety Systems are met.
- Any other duties as required.
- Grade 12 education or equivalent.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Must be capable of working independently.
- Carrying – occasionally 35+ lbs.
- Ability to navigate on uneven and slippery surfaces.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift license.
- Propane handling license
- Transporting dangerous goods
- Confined spaces level 1 operations
- Working at Heights training
- Sky jack, Genie Boom and Lift truck training
- Proficient in English.
- Manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to heat, dust coolant and oils.
