    Description

    Summary of Position:

    Brian Jessel BMW Technicians are responsible for repairing and maintaining vehicles to Brian Jessel BMW Standards and Specifications. BMW is a cutting-edge, industry-leading technologically superior automobile. A successful candidate will be servicing and repairing all components and systems including HV drivetrains.

    Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring repairs and maintenance are performed efficiently and to Brian Jessel BMW Quality Standards
  • Examining the vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
  • Inspect motor in operation, road test motor vehicle, Diagnose Electronic and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults
  • Perform road tests to confirm concerns and verify repairs.
  • Reviewing Daily all-new Service Bulletins and Information via the BMW Extranet
  • Cooperating with all technicians, providing technical advice, and working to maximize the benefits of our diversified knowledge base
  • Ensuring all high-level diagnostic repairs and comeback repairs are Quality Control Checked by the Respective Shop Foreman
  • Ensuring all equipment needed to provide efficient service is kept in good working order.
  • Providing guidance and training of apprentices
  • Working with the Service Advisors to ensure all necessary service and repair work is brought to the customer's attention
  • Providing clear and concise notes and time tickets for all repairs
  • Working cooperatively with the Warranty Administrator to ensure time and job descriptions are well documented
  • Prompt return and labelling of all Warranty Parts to Parts Department warranty shelf
  • Notifying and establishing any unsafe conditions in the Workplace
  • Notifying and documenting on the repair order any unsafe vehicle
  • Maintaining a clean workplace and cleanliness for Customer's vehicles
  • Notifying the Shop Foreman or Manager of any damage not noted on the repair order or damage caused by a repair
  • Review work orders and discuss work with Team Leader or Shop Foreman

    • Brian Jessel BMW employment provides:

  • BMW factory equipment and tools to perform complex diagnostics and repairs
  • BMW factory training with access to two BMW training facilities in Canada. As well as access to a vast library of BMW-specific online training.
  • Brain Jessel supports technician development through participation in BMW Certified and Master technician programs. The highest level BMW technicians are recognized and rewarded with trips to driving events, factory visits, etc.
  • Flexible shifts Monday to Saturday 8:30-5. Possible 4/10 shift 7:30-6
  • Extended benefit package

    • Job Specifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience, with Red Seal Certification
  • Proven work experience with BMW vehicles an asset
  • Must be comfortable in diagnosis and repairing mechanical and electrical problems
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team when required
  • Jobs include but are not limited to Clutch/suspension/front end/timing belt/head gasket/alignment
  • Reynolds and Reynolds computer experience preferred
  • Ability to work with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to work independently, with little or no supervision
  • Very detail-oriented and possesses strong organizational skills
  • A team player and is capable of interacting professionally with both staff, and customers
  • Adaptability and flexibility to ensure the highest level of service for staff and clients
  • Good people skills, with the ability to effectively work and communicate with other members of the dealership
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver's license with clean driver abstract

    • Training:

  • Interprovincial Mechanical Repair Qualification
  • BMW Factory Training as required
  • BMW On-Line S.I.P. training
  • BMW University Training, Richmond Location

    • Compensation: $38.00-$47.00 per hour + bonus plan

    Work Environment:

    Our hours of operations are below. The hours and days of work are dependent on your role with a 40-hour workweek for full-time employment.

  • 9:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday to Thursday
  • 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Friday
  • 9:00 am to 6:00 pm Saturday
  • 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday & Statutory Holidays
