Description

The IT Business Data Lead Analyst within the FRMT (Financial Resource Management Technology) Data Services team is responsible
for liaising between business users, technologists & Data Governance teams to exchange information in a concise, logical and understandable way in coordination with the Technology team. This role will partner closely with the Federated Functional and Business CDO organizations to track and identify opportunities to improve data quality, sourcing and consumption for Liquidity, Collateral & Capital data sets from strategic sources.

This role sits in FRMT (Financial Resource Management Technology) organization in GFT under the Data Services team that focuses on the Data Acquisition, Distribution and Data Governance for Citi's Liquidity & Collateral data catering to ICG Markets, Risk, Global Liquidity Management (GLM) & other Liquidity users.

:


Responsibilities

:

Perform detail gap analysis and collaborate with technical resources on solution proposals.

:

-
Partner with the front office business, product control, regulatory, Finance & Accounting Policy and Technical/Architecture
teams to improve cross functional workflows, PP feeds, and reporting

:

Reviewing the usage and requirements for Regulatory Reporting Critical Data Element's (CDE's)

:

-
Driving improvement of CDE data quality for key regulatory reports (FR 2052a, NSFR, PRA110
etc.) with a focus on various financial products (securities, deposits, loans, derivatives, SFTs, debt, etc.) and balances (including P&L, spot and average balances) used in above mentioned regulatory reports.

Manage and improve CDE data quality and CDE requirement review processes

:

-
Analyze key reporting production process documentation to identify data elements used by above mentioned key regulatory reports.

:

Work with stakeholders (report owner, report producer and other key SMEs supporting reporting production) to document and maintain risk based Critical Data Elements used
Review existing data quality controls and design fit-for-purpose data quality requirements.

:

Work with technology to implement data diagnosis and improve data quality metrics.

:

Work with report owner and report production team to monitor Data Quality Exceptions to identify real data concerns/issues as well as corresponding reporting impact and document accordingly
Support Consent Order data related tasks (such as data lineage, reporting data requirement), working with Controller Data Team and Enterprise Chief Data Office.**:


  • Solve the highest-impact, highest-profile problems with significant business impact through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes and industry standards

Influence and negotiate with senior leaders (across functions) and communicate with external parties as needed

Provide user training, solicit feedback, and drive systems adoption

Respond to ad-hoc data requests and provide reporting as needed

:


Qualifications

:

-
6+ years of relevant experience

:

-
5+ years of experience in Data analysis

:

-
5+ years of SQL experience. Ability
to query & analyze data. Understand complex procedures.

:

-
5+ years of experience required in Financial Services Industry

:

-
Familiar with Financial Accounting
  • Balance Sheet, PnL, Cash Flows and Trial Balance
:

-
Knowledge of Derivative products, Securities Lending, and other Trading products.

:

-
Familiarity in regulatory reports (FR 2052a, NSFR, PRA110) particular to Trading products.

:

-
Understanding of Netting functionality in Derivatives & SFT's

:

Experience in Project management and reporting

:

Strong communication skills and proficiency in explaining complex technical concepts to senior management

Demonstrated leadership

Proven interpersonal skills with ability to partner and influence across organizational lines

Proven ability of using complex analytical, interpretive and problem-solving techniques

Education

Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
