What will you do?

Collaborate with all departments to ensure smooth building operations and efficiency.

Conduct inspections and complete repairs, as necessary, on all site mechanical, electrical, and HVAC/BAS systems and related equipment.

Support the inspection, monitoring and testing of building security and life safety systems, reporting any discrepancies.

Respond to tenant concerns in a timely manner and assist in finding appropriate solutions.

Complete minor maintenance and repairs as required, including carpentry, drywall and paint, lamp replacement, lubrication of doors, washrooms and fixtures, among others.

Respond and assist with seasonal building requirements, including snow clearing and removal, salting, and seasonal planting and watering.

Carry out execution of all preventative maintenance tasks.

Ensure service contracts are enforced, service levels are achieved, and contractors are adequately supervised when on site.

Maintain shop and equipment inventory and cleanliness, requesting replacement inventory as required.

Respond to after-hour calls and/or emergencies.

What are we looking for?

2 years' experience in building operations and general maintenance in a commercial, retail, or industrial environment.

Foundational knowledge of building operations, life safety, and building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems,

An assertive self-starter with the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Good communication and customer service skills.

Collaborative, team player.

Good judgment and decision-making skills.

Willingness to work overtime to respond to emergencies and business demands.

Valid driver's license.

Would be an asset:

Certificate of Building Environmental Systems: BES I & II, SMA/SMT, 4th Class Power Engineer, or equivalent.

Understanding of energy management practices, heat transfer principles, and sustainability.

Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHMIS) and First Aid and CPR training.

Experience in working at heights and use of booms and lifts.

Knowledge of Yardi FM or other building management systems.
