    About the Team: Join the Infrastructure Investments team at Nicola Wealth and gain exposure to strong deal flow and various investment strategies, transaction types, industries, structures, and business models. The team offers accelerated exposure and responsibility while working with diverse and inspiring colleagues and approachable leaders who prioritize integrity, collaboration, and high performance.

    Purpose of the Role: The role involves being a critical player on the investment team responsible for investing and managing capital for Nicola Global Infrastructure LP. The main responsibilities include supporting the investment team in evaluating new opportunities and monitoring existing investments.

    The location of this role will involve a hybrid work schedule based in either the Vancouver or Toronto office.

    Core Responsibilities:
    • Screen and analyze new investment opportunities, focusing on co-investment opportunities as well as primary and secondary fund investments.
    • Evaluate investment opportunities through market research, financial modeling, and valuation analyses.
    • Prepare investment committee materials.
    • Monitor existing investments, including ESG considerations, and create regular reporting documents.
    • Assist in portfolio management functions such as fund reporting, cashflow projections, risk-exposure analysis, and marketing material.
    • Undertake project work and additional duties as required.
    • Engage in ongoing learning and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
    • Perform other relevant responsibilities as assigned.
    Required Skills & Qualifications:
    • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in private infrastructure, investment banking, corporate development, corporate finance, or management consulting.
    • Undergraduate degree in business, accounting, or finance.
    • Financial industry designation is an asset (CFA, CPA, CA, or CBV).
    • Strong accounting, valuation, and financial modeling skills.
    • Experience in due diligence for M&A transactions.
    • Experience in creating marketing materials and presentations.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proactive and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Collaborative and team-focused with the ability to excel in a high-performing team.
    • Curious with critical thinking and independent decision-making skills.
    • Legally eligible to work in Canada.

    Compensation & Benefits Package:

    This position offers a competitive base salary ranging from $100,000 - $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Nicola Wealth provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to show appreciation for employees' commitment and hard work.
