Balance Physiotherapy is one of the top clinics in Toronto specializing in providing care to individuals with neurological conditions. Our busy 5000 sq. ft.clinic has been operating since 2004 and includes 2 gyms, a heated above ground pool and 7 private treatment rooms.
Balance Physiotherapy is thrilled to be adding a talented Physiotherapist to our team.We are a compassionate group of therapists who pride ourselves with fostering a collaborative environment while providing exceptional care to the community.
Our fantastic team includes highly qualified Physiotherapists (extensive training in the Bobath method, vestibular therapy and the McKenzie approach), an Occupational Therapist, a Registered Massage Therapist and a strong administrative support staff.
We promote continuing education through an 8 week clinical mentorship program as well as education funding to help our therapists grow and bring new skills into their practice.
Responsible for the delivery of physiotherapy care to patients with a wide variety of neurological conditions, including brain injury, spinal cord injury, Parkinson's Disease and stroke.
Assessment and treatment of other conditions such as post surgical rehabilitation and chronic pain can also be expected.Maintains current and accurate clinical records according to standards set by College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.
Participation in and contribution to all aspects of the rehab program as needed including home based rehabilitation, functional and community activities.
Please note a car is required for this position to accommodate community referrals (~20% of caseload)Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from an accredited College or University.
Additional training in Bobath, acupuncture or vestibular physiotherapy are an asset
Individuals with 2+ years experience working with individuals with neurological conditions will be given preference, but new graduates with a keen interest in neurological physiotherapy are welcome to apply
Ability to stay organized and complete tasks within allocated time frame.
Be passionate about the physiotherapy profession and committed to ongoing professional development.
Have a strong, patient-focused approach to healthcare.
