Summary

The General Production Operator will be required to perform tasks involving physical labour, like lifting materials and products up to 50lbs and standing for long periods of time.

The duties include material moving and packaging, monitoring production equipment, and assisting Line or Batching Operators.

Responsibilities:

Manually load correct packaging materials on the line
Ensuring packaging materials are free from defect or potential contaminants.
Assembling packaging materials
Completing visual quality checks of packaging materials and product
Manually packaging and palletizing finished materials
Maintaining a clean, organized, and hazardfree work area.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, required.
Experience in general labour work.
Experience in manufacturing.
Adaptable to changing environments.
Food Safety experience considered a bonus.

Working Conditions/Potential Hazards

Must wear personal protective equipment while on the plant floor (including warehouse areas)
Safety shoes, safety glasses, company uniform
Must wear hygiene required PPE while on the plant floor (including warehouse areas)
Hair net, beard/moustache net (if applicable)
High lifttruck traffic
Temperature changing environment: humidity, heat, cold
Noiseheavy environment, personal hearing protection can be provided upon request
Exposure to wet conditions, slippery floors
Exposure to food odors
Possibility for heaving lifting, manually moving products up to 50lbs.
Standing for long periods of time
Fastpaced environment

Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm

Must be flexible to work alternate hours and days
