We are seeking an experienced Head of Analytics to lead our Delco Logistics Analytics function and drive operational improvements across our delivery network.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team of analysts, developing sophisticated models and dashboards, and providing insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.

You will play a key role in optimizing our courier base, improving zonal performance, optimizing courier pay, and investigating outlier events.


What's On Your Plate:


  • Directline responsibility for the Delco Logistics Analytics function and dotted line relationship with our Data Science team
  • Develop and implement strategy, structure, and process to enable the Analytics team to be successful
  • Provide technical expertise and thought leadership to your team, senior leadership, and key stakeholders
  • Collaborate with stakeholders from across the organization such as Country Leadership, Courier Operations, Product, and Finance to develop and deliver on your roadmap
  • Engage/dismisses responsibilities for a team of 15+ analysts
  • Mentorship of managerlevel direct reports in leadership of teams reporting to them

Experience
years of experience in data analysis, data science or other similar quantitative discipline

  • Exceptional clarity and originality of thought with the ability to solve complex problems from first principles
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to effectively convey complex ideas to a global audience
  • Strong leadership experience and ability to act as a mentor to a team of analysts
  • Builders mindset, focused on solving problems rather than just identifying them
  • Working knowledge of Six Sigma or other operations principles/techniques
  • Experience with data and analytics tools such as SQL, Python, R, Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Redshift, etc.
  • Experience visualizing data with tools such as Tableau, Python, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, etc.
  • Sound mathematical and statistical background
  • Experience with version control (ie. Git) and data pipeline creation and maintenance (ie. Apache Airflow)
