The QA Analyst is responsible to identify high-level test scenarios, write test cases, and execute manual test scripts, report and follow-up on resolution of defects.

In addition, he is responsible to carry out all QA related tasks as per the defined standards and procedures and deliver in a timely manner.

Responsibilities/Capabilities

  • Communicate with Functional Leads, Business Analysts, Solution Designers or Developers to have a clear understanding of the testing scope
  • Analyze technical documents to identify highlevel test scenarios
  • Ensure 100% test coverage while developing test cases
  • Build manual test scripts by identifying expected results and corresponding test data for execution
  • Maintain the test suite up to date based on newly added or change in existing functionalities
  • Inform QA Leads about resources (e.g. data, environment, etc.) required for test execution
  • Prioritize test execution based on priority assigned to test cases
  • Execute manual test scripts, capture actual results and report defects
  • Followup on resolution of defects within the established timeframe and perform retest as required
  • Work closely and report testing progress to QA Leads
  • Raise the flag when foreseeing major risks in terms of deadline or on the quality of product being delivered
  • Carry out all QA related tasks as per the defined standards and procedures
  • Meet deadlines by properly managing and prioritizing assigned tasks
