Your future duties and responsibilities

Create, review, execute Database script as per the request in production and non

- production environments.

Database monitoring and enhance database alerting
Troubleshoot any database related issues in production and nonproduction environments.
Support database automations activities
Security: auditing, role separation
Familiarity with Oracle Exadata is an asset

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

Minimum 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
Understand and analyze instance performance, investigate performance issues, wait events, able to read and understand AWRs
Strong experience with performance tuning of Oracle databases, highly available transactional systems, data replication, and database clusters.
Read and write PL/SQL code. BUT, the job is not a development position. Normally every DBA has some knowledge of PLSQL, as it is a core of Oracle database.
Understand and be able to write complex SQL queries, able to improve the performance of queries.
Proficient in data structures, indexes, partitioning concepts, LOBS, compression.
Unix/Linux experience and good knowledge of Shell scripting.
Knowledge of highly available, distributed, multi-master databases.
Understand Oracle infrastructure, RAC, dataguard, backup and recovery, HA concepts, Exadata knowledge is nice to have.
Goldengate and other databases proficiency is a good addition, but not a must.
Strong knowledge of different types of Oracle database objects including indexes, partitioning, materialized views, keys etc.
